SIMONE BISATO
Games & Software Developer

I’m a junior developer trained at AIV – Italian Videogame Academy, where I spent three years (2021–2024) learning to program through games. Games are an unforgiving teacher: a frame budget, a laggy connection or a designer who needs a new feature by Friday will expose every shortcut you took.

Two projects show best what I can do. Crazy Delivery is an online multiplayer game I’m taking alone from the first sketch to release, with networking, AI traffic and physics-driven gameplay. On I Can’t Cry, an eight-person team project in Unreal Engine 5, I built the narrative system that lets the designers create quests, dialogue and world events on their own, without waiting for a programmer. Around them are a number of smaller games and prototypes: a survival game on a spherical planet, a retro space shooter, a 2D game on an engine my team wrote from scratch, and more. Each one was an excuse to build a system I had never built before.

Along the way I learned things that matter well beyond games: keeping state consistent across a network, structuring data so that non-programmers can work with it, and writing systems that someone else will extend after me. That’s why I’m now expanding into software development, learning .NET, ASP.NET Core and SQL and building my first back-end projects. I’m open to roles in both worlds, in a game studio or on a software team.

RUN HISTORY
2021–2024

Diploma in Game Programming

AIV — Italian Videogame Academy, Rome. Specialised training in gameplay programming, AI systems and technical implementation with Unity and Unreal Engine.

2024 – NOW

Game Developer

Building games and prototypes in Unity and Unreal Engine, on my own and in teams: gameplay mechanics, AI, online multiplayer and data-driven tools that let designers create content without code.

2026 – NOW

Software Developer

Bringing what games taught me into software development: back-end projects with .NET, ASP.NET Core and SQL, focused on APIs, data modelling and unit testing.
